This Privacy Policy explains how Bar Association Balotra (Reg. No. 124/3(i)/1991), DJ Court Buildings, Balotra, Rajasthan - 344022 ("we", "the Association") collects, uses and protects information through the website barassociationbalotra.org, the Advocate Portal (advocate.barassociationbalotra.org) and the BAB Advocate Android app (together, the "Services").
1. Who can use the app
The BAB Advocate app is meant only for advocates who are members of Bar Association Balotra. Accounts are created by the Association office; the app does not allow the public to sign up. The Services are not directed at children under 18.
2. Information we collect
- Identity and professional details: name, father's / mother's name, date of birth, gender, blood group, Bar Council enrollment number, enrollment date, membership number, chamber number, practice area.
- Contact details: mobile number, WhatsApp number, email address, residential and office address.
- Photographs and signature uploaded for the member profile and the Digital ID Card.
- Documents uploaded for membership (for example enrollment certificate). Aadhaar and PAN numbers, where provided, are stored in encrypted form.
- Payment records: membership fee amount, date, receipt number and payment reference. Card / UPI / bank details are handled by the payment gateway and are not stored by us.
- Login and security data: login time, IP address, device / browser type, one-time passwords (OTP) sent by email, and security logs used to prevent misuse.
3. How we use the information
- To maintain the official register of member advocates and their membership status.
- To issue the Digital ID Card and allow anyone to verify its authenticity through the QR code.
- To show a limited public profile in the Advocate Directory (name, photo, enrollment number, practice area, chamber). Mobile numbers are hidden and shown only after OTP verification.
- To record membership fees, generate receipts and maintain the Association's accounts.
- To send login codes, password-reset emails, circulars and notices of the Association.
- To keep the Services secure and to comply with law.
4. Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information is shared only with: (a) the elected office bearers and authorised office staff of the Association; (b) service providers that run the Services on our behalf - web hosting, email delivery and payment gateways (such as Cashfree / Razorpay); and (c) courts, the Bar Council or government authorities when required by law.
5. Security
All connections use HTTPS encryption. Passwords are stored as secure hashes, Aadhaar / PAN numbers are encrypted, uploaded files are kept outside the public web folder, and admin access is protected by role-based permissions and audit logs.
6. Data retention
Member information is kept as long as the person is a member of the Association. After membership ends, records are kept only as long as needed for the Association's registers, accounts and legal obligations (for example fee receipts and audit records).
7. Deleting your account and data
You can ask us to delete your BAB Advocate account and personal data at any time:
- Send an email to contact@barassociationbalotra.org from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my account" and mention your name and enrollment number, or
- Give a written request at the Association office, DJ Court Buildings, Balotra.
We will confirm your identity and delete your login account, photographs, uploaded documents and contact details within 30 days. Fee receipts and accounting entries that the Association must keep by law are retained in the accounts records only, without your login account.
8. Your rights
You can view and update most of your details from the "My Profile" section of the app. For any correction that you cannot make yourself, contact the Association office.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the "Last updated" date.
